    Hey guys,

I'm sort of keen to travel to Boston at the start of December this year with my mum and my sister, I want to take advantage of the cheap direct flights which Aer Lingus have going. The flights for the three of us are working out at just under €1,300 for the three of us, which I think is pretty good.

I'm looking for good hotels right now at reasonable rates - the favourable euro/dollar exhange rate does make all rates more attractive, but I'm looking for a good hotel too you see. (Preferably not some horrid motel with odd stains on the carpet.)

I've seen alot of nice looking hotels, with reasonable rates that claim to be in the centre of Boston, but I'm still really unsure what to do. I've got the travel bug and it's pointing me towards Boston though!

Any help or thoughts or previous Boston visiter advice would be greatly appreciated.

(Sorry if I've posted this in the wrong forum, I'm a newb!)

Stayed at the Radisson - great location and very nice hotel.

Boston is brilliant - if you enjoy shopping (!) be sure to visit Filene's Basement for great bargains.

If it is still running, you will enjoy "Shear Madness" at the Charles Theatre which is a hilarious evening show with a difference. You can have a drink while you watch. There are lots of good places to eat, very reasonable. Don't bother going to Cheers Bar, its just a tourist trap and the food isn't up to much.

We also had a trip to the Boston Pops, very memorable, and did a trip out to Cape Cod right up to P-town.

    Have fun!
