My fiance and I are travelling to Paris soon for a three night stay. Flights are booked so we are just looking for a nice hotel which doesnt cost too much. There appears to be plenty of choice which makes it difficult but i always think the best way to decide is to ask people who have being before. So please share your experience or leave any tips for us to help us decide.

    Thanks in advance

    :)

This is the best hotel i've stayed in while in Paris location wise, the location was stunning. Eiffel tower view from room, straight accross the road from Palais de Chaillot.

Doesn't come too cheap though, depending on time of the year can hit 200+ per night.

There are loads of threads about Paris hotels so try a search through them.

Tripadvisor is also an excellent source but again, search before typing there.

Basically the areas of Paris go from 75001 to 75020 with '01 at the heart of the city spirilling outwards towards '20.
Booking anywhere from 01-10 will be fine and an easy walk to almost everywhere with 75003,75004 being some of the 'better' areas.

I posted this in a previous thread before:
For Paris go to http://www.timhotel.com and select the Montparnasse one, its only a couple of metro stops from Latin Quater and only 4euro back in a taxi at nighttime, its only about 50-60 per room per night, its clean and has a great location!

thanks lads, i booked an ibis hotel by the opera, very reasonable price for three nights (300 euros)

i had heard good reviews about it.

Does anyone know anything about Paris passes..i was thinking if getting the Museum pass which means entrance to most of the top attractions like eiffel tower and the louvre etc..however my concern would be that were leaving wednesday..would i recieve it on time especially as their are strikes at the moment or at least there was..
