Any cheap 775 mobo from Komplett will be fine.

    http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.aspx?sku=327806 67 euro, ATX

http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.aspx?sku=330158 49 euro, if don't mind using Micro ATX

As for graphics card, for 55 euro you will get a piece of **** that won't be able to run any new games. You need a minimum of 100-120 to get a graphics card good enough to play new games. If its just for regular use like internet, video, etc, then this or this is fine.

I think you expect far too much for such a poor budget!

I know that i can play Oblivion at 1280x1024 at a slightly comfortable rate on my x1300.
Now when i ask for it under a specific budget.. I am not looking for Crysis to run on the computer obviously. But still I know that a card like the x1550would be able to run previous stunners such as Half-life and Ut2004 at full setting.. So I believe that while you can point out it won't be an amazing graphics card... It will definitley play most games at the moment.

And FYI its meant for a family computer... designed for reaching all aspects of computing.. and not just enthusiast gaming. And i believe that even an entusiast could probably live with a X1550 for most of their favourite games.

I'd say try for a 7600GS.. should only be about 10 euros more than your 55 euro budget

Which one? The PoV 256mb or 512mb?

7600GS is about 70-80 new and is the bare minimum requirement for some of the latest games. If you want a card that runs older games like HL2 and UT2K4 for that budget go to Maplin. They have an X1650Pro for 65 euro on offer.

dont bother with a 512mb 7600, its useless, the extra memory can't be used.

and whether its a family computer or not, if its playing any new games the x1550 or x1300 class isn't good enough. it doesn't even work on the newest games. even a7600gs is dangerously close to scraping bottom of the barrel in terms of new games.
