i-poker update.. strange behaviour?

Anyone else getting this? or i'm wondering if it's client specific..

i-poker did an update yesterday when i logged on.. since then when i join a waiting list and a seat becomes available it askes me as usual if I want the seat. when I say yes insead of bringing me to the seat and asking me how much i want to buy in for it just does nothing...

I'm not brought to the table automatically. If I go down the list and find the table I see I'm sitting at it and open it manually. I'm now there in my seat sitting out with no money and I have to buy in manually...

anyone else notice this..... btw they were turbo tables with new names as well if thats any info... going to try it with a standard table now

paul i was having some major issues in the early hours this morning, i was playing 4 sng's when the server went down - when i logged back in the tables opened up but no players and no cards just blank tables, eventually when i did get back in i was crippled in 2 of them due to being blinded away and gone from the other 2. cost me some $$$$$$ ....

im on the VC skin and am just about to email them now....

That was happening to me last night Macs, had to buy in manually on every cash table i sat at.

must have been a bug or something in the update.. support told me to re install the client so i did and no problems....

Also reinstalling the client must also reset your "new fish" status as I am up 7 buy in's for the day
o if your running bad just re-install :rolleyes:

Anyone find that iPoker just flat out freezes sometimes? This is the GJP client. Happens when I play normally and when I datamine

I have had it freeze for a few seconds and then it comes back but it has never been a major problem

In Limit Hold'em the 20/40 games are not appearing on the drop down list, but I can see the games if I select all limit Hold'Em games .

Could someone please check to see if this is happening in their client?

edit: I checked GJP on my laptop and this is the case there too. I've looked at Paddypower and noticed that the 20/40 game is displayed there fine.

same prob here for me on GJP.

also, the limit hold'em tab opens every time I open GJP, even though I haven't played a single hand of lhe.

Yeah Limit hold em is opening up for me all the time too, whether it's the game I've played last or not.

On an off-shoot of this i'm just wondering if it would be possible to remove access to certain games? for e.g. I don't want to get a brainstorm and start suddenly thinking of playing 50/100 heads up limit, if the option wasn't available then I'd welcome that.

You need to change the Registry, normally it will default to the last limit you played but because there was a new tab added to the client and the registry it keeps defaulting to the limit tab until you change the registry. They should update it that it remembers the last Tab aswell as the last limit you played.

Ok heres the Step By Step:

1st remember to close your poker client, in this case ill use GJP as the example:
Start - Run - Then type regedit and press Enter:

It will open a new window
In the left colum it will display folders, scroll to the Green Joker Poker folder and expand it and you should see your username, for the likes of Noble Poker etc you might see NPR22202022 instead of your poker nickname. Click on your username folder.

We need to change 2 values:

1) selected_button
2) selected_node

To change the values just double click on the 1st colum and change the value in the "Value Data Column"

If you want to change it to the cash table column then we need to change selected_button to treeview_buttons_ring_games

The we can set the value of what limits you play and wheter its No Limit or Limit etc

open the selected node column and change it to:

cashtables.nolimitholdem.050-1

for any games under $1 you enter it as 050 for 50c and 020 for 20c
for any games over $1 you just enter 1 for $1, 5 for $5 etc etc

so a $5/$10 game would be cashtables.nolimitholdem.5-10
a $1/$2 game would be cashtables.nolimitholdem.1-2
and a 20c/50c game would be cashtables.nolimitholdem.020-050

i presume your says cashtables.limitholdem.5-10 instead of Nolimit

Let me know if you get stuck just stick up a screenshot or something

thanks for the help. This is pretty sweet although it is disgraceful that iPoker reduce us to this. I use freeware programs that are maintained 100 times better than iPoker.

what do you do for PLO? I tried setting selected_node to cashtables.potlimitomaha.5-10, but no luck. I'll keep trying but if you know how please let me know.

Yeah thats the exact setting and works fine for me, just make sure the selected_button is set to treeview_buttons_ring_games as if this overrides the selected_node section if it set to play money it cant get access to the cash table section. Also make sure your client is closed while making the changes and that you close the regedit window before re-opening GJP.

Lastly as long as the selected_button section is set to treeview_buttons_ring_games if you go to PLO 5-10 then close GJP it should write to the registry and open on this the next time.

Is this working for you in GJP? I can't get it to work in GJP either, but I have got it to work for PPP

Yeah its working on GJP for me, weird its not working for ye, is it just the PLO thats not working or is nothing working on GJP

it does work actually, I'm not sure if it didn't work earlier or if I made a mess of it.

but the limit hold'em section is still expanded when I open the client first. It's not a big deal, just a bit messy.

Yeah its the same for me too. I never noticed it till you mentioned it, maybe someone a bit more techy can find a solution via the registry

I presume PPP dosent have the new menu system that GJP has and that would explain why theres no selected_button option as that controls that menu. Post up a screen shot of regedit when its in your GJP folder under your username and ill see if i can spot anything, dont forget to blot out your username

Cheers dvdfan. I changed some of the sortby options as well to see if that would make any difference but it didn't.

Anyway here's my registry settings for GJP.

I see the problem, your in the settings for GJP folder, if you expand this folder you will see a folder with your username, in there you should find about 8 settings, change them not the ones in the main Green Joker Poker folder

The problem is that there is no sub-folder with my username . there is for PPP but not for GJP.

Edit: I had a subfolder in my laptop's registry - though it was called n instead of 'myusername', I installed the reg file on my pc and changed the name of the folder to my username but it still didn't make a difference. Tbh it's no huge big deal anyway, though it would be nice if I could get it to default to my usual game/level. What's more annoying is I still can't view the 20/40 limit games without opening up all limit games.

50/1 PLO is also missing unless you select "all PLO". Maybe some other variants as well. NLH and LH the big games are there grouped together as >50/100, they should probably have this for all games.
