    Start the ball for ya.

Played with you a small bit. Yer a nice guy . Don't like taking chips from nice guys...(leak)

You should raise more from position. IE When in position don't call with a marginal hand...instead open raise.
You should apply ranges to certain players and use it agianst them whilst playing. I'm not sure you do this.
IE. You know who the aggressive players are, don't wait for the nuts to take chips from them, come over the top more often.

In a nutshell don't limp, raise, raise and (maybe the odd limp)

Sorry if this is generic advise but this is what I 'think' is missing from your game (from the little I've played)

I'd like to see you improve and bruise a few egos on here but to do so you need to be a little more aggressive. Then there is no logical reason why you should not get some good results.

    GL.

I like your game Conor but a few points.

You should be more confident when playing. some players seem to put you off or you're slightly intimidated by them. Don't be , confidence is a huge edge.

I think you should raise more when you have good hands. I've seen you limping with big hands and not betting, allowing people to catch up on later streets. This isn't good especially when we have 2 or 3 players in the mixer.

I would like to see how you would do in some of the bigger buyin tournaments. Good Luck.

Haven't played with you in a while Conor and I really haven't put in that many hands with you in total BUT having said that there are 3 things I'd like to add (repeat what's been said above)

I think you limp too much.

I've seen you play marginal hands against tight players a bit too much rather than be more selective of who you make moves against. You tend not to repop people who's game you respect when these are the very people who may have a wider range in certain tournie spots.

I think you need to work on remaining calm and not giving off tells/playing your cards face up when things are running bad or you are getting into a few marginal situations in a row.

The above comments could well be out of date at this stage.

i can only remember playing cash with you once where you managed to bluff me off two pair on the turn. really liked this play. take advantage of your tight image. good luck

Again the limping thing sprung to mind to me too, but you seem to be keen to become a v good player so I'd recomend reading all the good books too (if you havent already)

I thought you were a bit too aggressive when I played with you, some of the bluffs and raises you were making were good in a vacuum; but you didnt have the right image and you chose the wrong targets

    Why Lie?

I think you have a horrible knack of picking up Aces when i have AK. I havent played an awful lot with you to comment other than that.

I played on your table in the SE in the satellite for the €500 tickets. I think it was seven tickets and you bubbled very unluckily when your all-in AK ran into a late position KK. I thought your game was solid, and not in need of much change (except luck). You were polite and good humoured. Thanks for being a good companion at the table.

Thanks for all the comments guys.
I do have a tendency to over limp with speculative hands and small PP's alright, didn't think it was that prevelant though.

Some good pointers, taken on board, tyvm.

    Anyone know a good plumber?:)

    Conor,

i obviously know you very well and think you are an excellent player. But I always wonder why you haven't got many results when it's clear you should have.

On the positive side, i think you are a great reader of an individual player esp wrt physical tells and betting patterns. I think this is your biggest strength. I also think you have a great ability of paying attention to every hand gathering info all the time. I wish i could do this.
I also think you are a better cash game player than tourn player and a decent bankroll would prove that. One day, eh?

But you are well capable of winning tourns but IMO, you still haven't grasped the difference between good tourn poker and cash game play.

You constantly think people are bluffing, only to play back and find you are out of the tourn. You can't reload in a Freezeout.
Also, when you play back and are wrong but are still in the tournament, you can TILT badly. You need to work on this.

Tourney poker requires a lot of patience at times and yet i could never see you sit there for long periods without limping into a hand or raising at the wrong time. You would often say to me ' i'm have to double up quickly cause i'm below average and can't make any moves'. this is a huge flaw as it leads you to play hands you should never be in in the first place. You would also have a huge fascination with the average stack number - forget about it.

Following on from above, you are inclined to 'make moves' far too often.

I would say that you got dogged in the IPO and potentially could have had a big result there so you are close. I'm expecting to see your name in lights very soon.

Conor played really well last night. wd.

    Thanks lads, nice words.

Yeah, had a good night last night, got almost all my big hands paid off which left me pretty comfortable from three tables out. Was lucky with seat draws too, had the chief donating directly to my right early on, then on final table had two weak tighties to my left and two aggros to my right, it was sweet. Last hand was a coinflip, was unlucky not to take it down.

    Thanks again.

Ps, nice to meet you Mick, sound lad.

Sorry for late reply on this one... but I didn't put 2 and 2 together until last night... I've played with you a good few times but didn't know you were Lazare until last night...

Wd on the tourney last night... really enjoyed it... I tried to stay out of your way as much as possible as there were 2 obvious fish at the table and I know you had your eye on them as well ;)

Unfortunately I got myself shortstacked on the bubble and didn't have much play left apart from "Ishortstackgoot" and push...

My opinions on your play... your tourney game was excellent and your agression at the final 3 with the big stack was very well played... you knew i wanted to play back at you but couldn't as I was waiting on the shorter stack to move.... and you knew she was tight and were stealing like mad.... when we got heads up I felt I could take this as I was the one coming from nowhere with nothing to loose and had just enough chips to push over your raises..... I think you read the situation well and took it in the end...

One hand I think you could have finished the tourney on earlier was the AQ hand.. you raised and I called and the flop came Q8x when you checked this to me I knew straight away you had hit... if you had c-bet that flop I would have pushed over with my 8... as it happened i paid off your value bets anyway but just a little something..... no need to slowplay... might work against others...lol

    Overall an excellent tourney player....

Now as regards cash play.... I've never played much cash with you really until last night... couple of pointers.. firstly at the table were 2 very obvious fish one with a monster stack... Hence I bought in deep enough immediately and was looking for a hand against him all night but it never came.... you on the other hand could have stacked the guy with your QQ when you filled a house and he could't get his chips into the pot quick enough with the smaller house.... You doubled up but were only playing about 150 at the time I think.... when there is a fish with a stack and you had position on him I would empty my pockets onto the table and wait for him.... oportunity wasted I think?

Also in Dulin Live cash I think c-betting into the usual clatter of callers/stations without a hand is a bit pointless but I'm open to correction on this.. you did this a few times last night and ended up folding on later streets..... Think you suffered a bit from fancy play syndrome whih is not needed in a Dublin Cash game.... Maybe I was a bit the other way myself playing only 1 real hand in the 2 hours but I never had the goods so I didn't try.....

Overall a nice guy to play with but I don't want you at my table

I had Jd10d in the hand where I cold 4bet pushed

    WTF does this mean??

It's that long since i've been at a table with Conor, i forget what your weaknesses are. I just remember thinking "man, he's a tellbag donk" :p. You also suffer from iknowthatyouknow Syndrome which makes you bluff quite a bit in position. Bottom pair is usually good against you :p

Only buzzin with ya Conor! I've never played a cash game with you and i think we've only played 2 tournies together, both which happened to be final tables a long time ago. I dont think you settled into either game too well. You began bluffing from the off, before you got a read on your opponents, or before you built an image up yourself.

This is pretty simple to control so i'm sure you've worked on it. You get involved with quite a few pretty hands, in the wrong spots but overall i think youre a difficult opponent and would be far more dangerous if you controlled your aggresion.

I briefly played some cash with you I think there Friday (not a lot mind, a few beers and I was pi$$ing like a racehorse :)).
You seemed a very good player with no major leaks. Perhaps a tendency to overthink hands, thinking its always a hethinksthatIthinkthathethinks kind of thing.
Was that you in the Aq hand and you were free-rolling?

Yeah, that was me alright. To be honest I shouldn't have sat down on Friday night, I was extremely tired and playing bad as a result, It's a problem I have, I can't just say enough is enough and go home to bed. :)

That feeling is mutual Paul, thanks for your comments. If I'm honest, last night I was praying you'd bubble as you were the only one I didn't want back in contention. :) Well played last night, I really liked your bubble play and attitude to it.

Also, very good point re the QQ cash hand, I definitely should've been deeper.

Cheers Tony, yeah I used to firmly believe that everyone was 'at it' all the time, huge leak:). I think I've plugged it though.

Yeah its something I suffer from too.
Now, if I find myself making questionable calls I just go....which happened a few hours after you moved on Friday :)
