playstation 3 now only 399euro

    just read the evening hereld this evening, Xtra vission are selling the ps3 for 399 euro from tomorrow 10 / 10 / 2007. it didn't mention anything about free games but it has got a lesser hdd capacity.

    Its the new 40gb version, no backwards compatibility etc. more info on the playstation forum

    Yeah, it's a PS3 with smaller hdd and price, but at the loss of backwards compatability for PS2 games (although aparently it'll still play PS1 titles) just something to be aware of.

    It's official for the 40GB at xtravision, I heard Gamestop charge more for it..

    Still won't make me buy it though.

    based on this information ... buying in a model from theusa looks like am interesting option ... http://www.electronista.com/articles/07/10/04/ps3.price.cut.friday.leak/

    at current exchange rates you could get full spec model for around 399 euros ... provided you know somebody coming home from the usa at christmas it would make some gamers christmas ... as usual ireland gets **** end of the stick :)...
