Tournament 61585153. Open client; click tournament tab; then the private sub tab. Password is "High Variance". There is a space for this one only due to a typo when I was setting them up.

I'm in, have been lurking in the mist for a while, after a recent house move.

...but just managed to remind myself about this one tonight. Makes a change.

    Anyway i'm "The Titanic"

    Good luck boardies! :)

I'm a wounded tiger after Imposter took most of my stack when his QQs were bigger than my overpair to the board :( They rape my blinds until this hand and then its folded into me....

Sounds like your playing on AB and your the only one not on the super account!

Would it be possible to get the main thread made sticky. This is the last day i'm in work so should be able to make a good few of the remaining events.

You got outplayed WhiteKnight. Play better.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,696 ✭✭✭Hectorjelly

You have ace high on the river, why bet? Do you really think a pair is likely to fold? If he folds here you probably had the best hand. Also the river is in generally the worst place to bluff.

edit - you should know not to try and bluff a calling station like me!! Also Why call the flop and then check the turn?

(and then i got pwnd on my exit hand)

Also Why call the flop and then check the turn?

You usually keep firing, I was going to raise your turn bet. I thought I would get away with the bet on the river because there were no draws on the flop that I could have been representing .. i.e. the 10 or a 3 was most likely holding (i thought!):o
edit - you should know not to try and bluff a calling station like me!!

lol, wow. I ran so good from six in. The particular highlight was my 89 > 99. And the sweetness of two Kings on the flop for K10 > than Reggie's QQ.

So ship two Hold them events in a row. But unfortunately, I have set up the scoring system in such a manner that I'm winning the wrong events if I want that table. :(

Lloyd had a 50-1 chip lead on me hu, so obv when i saw k9 OTB it was all going in. of course card rack woke up with KQ. i didnt mind though as it was a pleasure to see reggie get sickly outplayed all night.

lol, it was funny - in a bad way. What I meant to say was that you should have been a bit peeved off ... and i would have been peeved off as well.

of course it could be due to internet connection, newness to the game, etc

99% of people who played the game would have insta-pushed with QQ obv

unless fabsoul and mdwexford have some bad history fabsoul wasnt slowrolling imo.

Yeah I would aggree that it wasn't a slowroll but I can see how md was pissed when someone used his timebank and then call to be shown QQ.

Lol at people giving Hamman advice on how to play NLHE tournies. He's played more tournies on Stars than I've had hot dinners. He was a regular at the top end of the tourny leaderboard on Stars for a long time.

Lads, if effective was like 20 BBs; or like the re - raise was laying fabsoul a price significantly < 2:1 on the call then it probably isn't a slowroll. Can someone stick up the HH?

That hand is a snapcall, end of story.

To let your time run fully down and go 15 secs into your time bank is bad imo.

    What?. I did'nt slow-roll, I raise in a EP with QQ and i got reraise all-in.
And then thought about it for 15-20 sec before calling. called because of what he said 15-25 mins b4. Why you never fold QQ preflop?

I thought Slow-roll would be if you had a big hand and not just a single pair.
but of course a gob****e like MD would'nt need time to think.

I'd be looking for a reason NOT to call, i'm calling 99% of the time otherwise. Especially in this tournie, with these blinds against other boardsies. MD is never raising that much from the blinds with AA or KK so its an instacall in my book.
