    Hi Ding Dong!

I was at a wedding in Meath and there was a fabulous duo playing at the ceremony. They're website is www.royandtara.com They're based in Dublin but I think on the website it says that they travel. I'd say they'd be worth a look!

    G' luck!!

    Hi,

I'm a classical (tenor baritone) singer based in Limerick. Check out my website for contact details: http://www.alandooley.ie

My repertoire includes opera arias and hymns and can tailor everything to suit you and the ceremony you wish to have.

I sing with a superb piano player or if, available a harp player.

I also play the traditional irish flute and so we can play most instrumental pieces that tend to be played at weddings, however if there was something more specific, we could arrange it.

I am very flexible and can give you a quote if you contact me.

We used a girl called Lorraine Galvin - she's based in Limerick, but I think she also travels for weddings. Her website is http://www.lorrainegalvin.com/.

A lot of people commented to me afterwards on how beautiful the church music was - we couldn't have been happier with her. And she organised the church musicians for us, a harpist and a flautist, and they were great too.

Hi guys, sorry for an obvious advert, probably, but anywho. I've been singing on weddings as part of a gospel choir for years. I have decided, for many reasons to continue that and as an addition provide music to churches on my own. I am starting off with a choice of me singing to the backing tracks or with an additional musician (keyboard) and if necessary with additional vocalist for variety and harmonies.

And my question is as follows. Would you consider for your church wedding to have one vocalist singing with backing tracks, or would your preference be to hire an additional musician to have it completely live but to pay for an additional person?

and to answer the question above - try contacting the Dublin Gospel Choir or Soul Glow for your wedding if you're into soul/gospel music :)

I was at a wedding a few years ago & Padraig Rushe performed in the church. I completely fell in love with his voice. He did a mix of soul/gospel but also Hallelujah, You Raise me Up & and an Irish song that made me cry and my boyfriend tear up too, so much so my boyfriend thought we should get his details (We weren't even together that long at the time - well done Padraig)! Amazing voice and he was really nice to talk to after...

So when I saw him singing on Telly & on Radio recently we were really delighted for him but upset he might not do weddings anymore as he's released an album and been touring etc but apparently he does!! www.PadraigRushe.com

He was so nice when I emailed him ( info@PadraigRushe.com ) & I didn't see any mention of him on here (I Think) so I said I'd spread the word. His album is amazing too!!

    :D:):o

I'm not sure if Padraig is still singing at weddings but let me know if you can't get through to him. also try him on the Facebook.

He used to be in the Dublin Gospel CHoir with me and yeah. his voice is to die for!

I guess gospel and soul background can't go wrong during the wedding!

    Check out http://www.myspace.com/clairehalliganmusic

She is a classically trained soprano, sang at my brother's wedding and was amazing!! She has toured with The Celtic Tenors and G4 and everything! And she sings with a classically trained guitarist, it sounds lovely and you can hear it on the music page. Not sure how far she travels, but she is well worth contacting!

I hope the warm weather lasts for the summer, would be lovely for all the people getting married! :)
