I use Transmission. Very simple UI and runs a hell of a lot quicker on my iBook than Azureus does on my PC.

I use Azureus. It's a tad heavy-weight but it's got all the important features and never gives me any trouble.

    +1 for Transmission

Another +1 for Transmission. Now that it finally allows selective downloading of files I see no reason to keep Azureus.

Does Transmission have a full set of encryption features yet? They're one of the main reasons I stick with Azureus.

No, although it's planned for a future release. I don't really have any use for it personally so I didn't even think about it when I posted before, sorry!

Yup. We considered them at work at one point to help distribute our rather large download package. A lot of software companies are torrenting their apps now, those that are confident(ish) in their licensing anyway ;)

Lots of things you dont have to pay for can be made into torrents too! Joys of P2P.

    Transmission gets my vote.

I used it to download NeoOffice, which is one legal use. Of few :)

NeoOffice and Ubuntu (yes, I occasionally play around with an OS other than OS X - anyway it recognised my scanner when OS X didn't :p Though in the end I had to drop it for Windows since thats the only way I can print in college :()

For about 1% of things, yes.

Xtorrent for me. Well worth the €18 or whatever it might come to these days.

Opera browser for me. Just like Firefox but with built in bit-torrent. Means you can just download torrents+files like normal links. The way it should be IMO.

    xtorrent.

Developer is an a**hole. I knew that and still bought it.

Rumour is uTorrent for mac has been abandoned or at very least there hasn't been any movement on it since the last beta version, which was in June. The beta was apparently missing all the good stuff anyway.

The latest version of Transmission is close to perfect imo. The only thing it's really missing is encryption.

download the latest nightly dev build!!!

it has encryption and works lovely

I just realised the current version already has it. I only updated a few days ago and hadn't noticed.
