Just arrived from Germany this morning. It's a Fame Baphomet IV 2005 Special Edition. First played one of these almost 2 years ago when I was living in Cologne and have wanted one ever since. Went to buy one around January time but was told they wouldn't be back in stock til September. Rang again around May and was told they'd never be back in stock. Was browsing musicstore a few weeks back and noticed they were available and decided to go for it since the run was probably limited. Lucky I ordered when I did, they're sold out now. Cost me just over €1000.

The finish is alot lighter than I would have liked (the ones I saw in the shop and in their catalogue had a darker brown finish with the same pattern, looks much nicer), and there's a very small knock on the headstock but I'm very happy with how it sounds. Has been ages since I actually played this model so I was a little worried it wouldn't play quite as I remember it. Has the same pickups as my current bass but sounds far nicer.

It's not actually fame. It's made by a company called Mayones in Poland and sold under the name Fame through musicstore in Cologne.
