Hills Have Eyes 3

In the bonus features of Hills Have Eyes 2, Wes Craven mentions that Fox wanted a franchise with the first movie, and thus they launched the second movie (writing the script in a month). Do you think that there might be rumblings of a HHE3? I mean, with the successes of Saw (they've already announced a 5th and 6th alongside the release of the 4th on Oct 26th) you wonder if Fox wants to compete with that by releasing its own horror franchise every year?

"there could be, it all depends on this one. I wouldn't be at all surprised, though, because we think [HHE2] will do really well."
    Wes Craven, Feb 27th 2007

    Wouldn't mind.
Though HHE can not compete with SAW.

The first one was one of the remakes that I actually enjoyed (I don't like the original film much actually..)

Sequel to the remake was a pretty crappy forgettable affair, unfortunately.

First one was great, second one had nothing going for it. Crap actors, crap atmosphere...though that said, based on the strength of the first movie alone, I'd go and see a third. Don't give up hope!

I can see this going ahead, in fact, with the current way Lionsgate is pushing out Saw films I can see Fox asking the two Cravens to write the 3rd one as soon as possible

Of course its going to happen.HHE original is brill IMO,its sequel was pants.
HHE remake was pretty $hit too and havnt seen its sequel and have no intention of doing so.
But as long as these crappy "re-imaginings" and sequels continue to generate revenue they will keep been churned out.

Well SAW 4 was very good, i cant really see the comparision to HHEs, other that being franchises. I would love to see another HHE movie, but then any horror movie gets me into a cinema.

I hope they're not thinking of making a 3rd Hills have Eyes.
The sequel to the remake was awful, awful, awful.
