    That is why it is important to wait. When any new product comes out, and it could be any company in the world ( sony, apple, dell, HP, Phillips, etc etc ...) and it could be anything ( a tv, a microwave, a computer, a camera, etc ...) there can be problems. I always wait, always have and always will.

    When the new OSX comes out, even though i will want it, i will wait.

    All it means it that the risk of getting a dud is increased the earlier the rev you buy. Sure you can just as easily get landed with a dud later on. Some wait, some don't, personal choice tbh. Sometimes I wait, sometimes I don't :)

    If you put off buying it for a while, theres a better chance they will have a fix for it. Nothing worse than buying new kit that you can't use until someone has done a patch to fix it.

    I think it's worth taking the chance, with Apple they have a good rep for build quility and decent returns policy. So it's not such a biggie buying early.
