Looking For Fitted Gas Fire...help Anyone

    Hi

    Moved into our new house about a year ago, all rigged up for a gas fire. Was checking out prices on getting a gas fire and fitted, could not get over the cost of it....lookign for € 700 to € 1000...is this the usual price...anyone got any bargains, good experiences, any help is appreciated

    Try Camden Appliance Centre on Camden Street in Dublin, picked up my LPG gas fire there for 419.

    I got mine from Navan Gas 046 9021755 for about 200euro 3 yrs ago & fitted it myself with brother (plumber/gas specialist!)
    I'd say 3-500 max should be what you pay for installed, takes only a few minutes. Go into a few stores like Navan gas local to yourself with the internal dimensions of your fireplace & they will advise which insert you need. Better still take in a photo of yours.
    There are different heights you can get dependent on the grate type to the front of your fireplace.
    If I was paying 1k I'd expect it to be remote control type.
