Have some friends coming over for a long, mad weekend to Dublin... I've never been much of a nightclub goer, more of a pub gal, so any ideas?? Some good late clubs?

    Thanks :0

Depends on what night your looking for/the kind of scene your looking for. If it's monday-wedensday, you'll find many clubs with generic club music, packed to capacity and good drinks promotions. If you have a specific genre of music you fancy clubbing to (e.g. indie) then you'll be a little pushed to find them, but they do exist and are well worth researching. If it's for the weekend, I'd suggust perhaps starting off at Oil Can Harry's (Mount Street), then walking 30 seconds down the road to the club Howl at the Moon, leaving at some point before 1 so you can make it to the Gaiety (if your over 21) for the late club as they have a theatre licence. Although you'll need a taxi at that stage to get in. If you fancy something a little more central than Club M, Crawdaddy (electro/indie-ish music) or 21's for your night out. All (except Crawdaddy) playing generic club music (timberland e.t.c.).

If your from Meath you could bring them to the Vortex but it'll be hard getting back to Dublin and a little crazy! Just an idea but wouldn't recommend it..

Tripod, Spirit or Krystal would be the main ones I think. Tripod has good DJs and gets the main amount of "proper" club music (e.g., John Digweed and so on). Spirit is also not bad but sort of past it. Krystal is a bit of a mix of a pub and a club, and is not as clubby or techno-ish as the others. It also has a huge smoking area which is covered, proper seating and heating, etc., .
