Does anyone have it and would you recommend it?

I'm of half a mind to stick an extra few GB of ram in my MBP and use it for running several specialized photo applications.

Well I find it fantastic on my macbook .. 2gigs ram ..from a handyness point of view .. but mainly just for things work require me to have windows installed e.g. sql server / PC anywhere and Yahoo / MSN.

Graphics are limited .. on the macbook I get 220 megs of video ram .. in parallels only 64megs max :(

To be honest though for anything serious like graphics / photo manipulation I Use Bootcamp to get full use of the hardware ... proper speed :D and free - if its only occassional use though it would be fine.

I also find it great. Be warned about Bootcamp though - when Leopard comes out, bootcamp is going to expire on Tiger so if you want to continue using beyond the end of October it you'll have to upgrade to Leopard.

Have a read up on Fusion as well Mark.

I have to agree with deevey though, the performance is notably better under Bootcamp for the more 'serious' applications. having said that, you could keep running anything with a high load like Lightroom, Aperture, PS, Ai elc on OS X and then limit the PC specific ones, you would prob get away with Parallels or Fusion. You are using a 2GHz MBP right? I forget when you bought yours.
