How do i sign up for a society after missing out on doing so during freshers week? who do i contact and/or where do i get to get information about signing up? also if you are a member of the golf society can you tell me what its like and where to go to sign up. thanks

Their website seems to be down which is unfortunate. You should have been able to access it from here.

Normal port of call is to email them, get on their mailing list and turn up to events (join then)
