Saw an add for this today. http://www.lidl.ie/ie/home.nsf/pages/c.o.20071008.p.19WidescreenLCDMonitor

Its made by some group called targa. I was thinking of getting a 19" monitor for my xbox 360. Specs are ok for the price. 5 msec responce time, contrast ratio 800:1 and max resolution 1440x900. Also has a 3 year guarantee.

    Is it worth getting?

Not a good deal, you can pick up a 22" Acer for €265

No built in speakers on the acer one, which the lidl one has.

Im almost positive that acer doesn't have hdcp , which is needed for a ps3 anyways so i can only asumme its needed for the xbox(but i could be wrong!!!) HDCP is something for decoding high definition signals(I dont know exactly what it is!?)

Theres an LG on komplett for around E300 , thats what i use , only thing is when the screen is moving very fast there is sometimes little bits of green on some details, im guessing thats what "ghosting" is? Definatly playable all the same!

EDIT: just to let you know sound is normally pretty poor on monitors, well it would do the job but might not do your games justice!

HDCP isnt needed for a PS3 or an xbox360. It's needed for playing HD movies that have the Image Constraint Token enabled. No movies exist (so far anyway) with the ICT. So all you would need would be a HDMI->DVI adapter to use any computer screen with the ps3 or 360
