OK firing a thread up as I am having difficulty locating frames 20"x16" they are all equivalent metric sizes which are just that bit too small for my mounts. Want to put up a few of the non sellers from Peoples Photography in the apartment so I can massage my ego :D

So who would you lot recommend?

(I have ordered one photo in a 70cm x 50cm Canvas Print to get things started from Canvas Works in Kinsale)

I was looking for a 12"x18" frame and a 8"x8" frame too for prints I got done, the only way I found any was to go to a frame maker here in Galway city, It may be your only option really..

Framing Fantastic in Antrim. The owner is sound and I think you could discuss just buying some material from him.

Thanks lads for those but surely we have to have someone in Dublin that can do this service or supply frames ?

Maybe places like We Frame It or Frame FX (Phibsborough)

I bought some here, seem to be OK, the boss likes them anyway.

I think there is somewhere in baldoyle that sells to the public and trade, check goldenpages.ie and search baldoyle for frames. I will have a look myself.

Got the canvas from Canvasworks and very happy with it.

Heres a piccie of it up on the wall.

Getting 2 more of my pictures mounted and custom framed by Appletons in Stillorgan and they have a good selection of the imperial sizes readymade that I need as well.

One thing this has convinced me of is next year I am getting a small selection of pictures professionally mounted and framed. If they don't sell I'll put them up in my place.

Fanatasic pic and nice processing, I'm sure the canvas print in the flesh is even more impressive!!

May i be bold and ask how much for the canvas print? Also, what sort of waiting time?

Well thats 70cm x 50 cm and it was €213 delivered. I signed up for their newsletter before ordering and got 10% off.

Took a little over a week to get delivered. Did this for two reasons one I have moved into a new apartment so wanted something unique that I had shot myself and secondally as a test as I am thinking about getting one done as a christmas pressie.

You signature shot ;) Looks great, are you pleased with it? Any colour casts, or anything like that? Did you need to upres at all?

elven yeah I am very happy with it and the colours and reproduction look spot on. No upscaling on the shot at all and it looks very sharp closeup.
