I have been having problems with the Software Update. Any time I try it, I get this.

Now im always connected to the net so I have no idea what this means and when I do the diagnostic it says my connection is fine.
I had for some reason deleted safari off my laptop a long time ago and I thought the software update might be somehow connected with safari as it had worked fine up until the point i got rid of safari. So i tried to download the safari 3 beta and I got this

I tried to download an earlier version of safari but could only find 2.0.1 and when i did, I couldn't install it. I also seem to have lost the CD i got with my laptop so there is no way to reinstall it from the disc.

Basically if someone could tell me why I cant update my software(apart from going onto the apple site and downloading it from there) and also if someone could let me know where i can get safari, I would be very grateful.
