I just removed a hard drive from my PC to be transfered to a new machine, I have two other HDs, when I rebooted, the BIOS (or is it CMOS) paused during start-up routine and informed me of an error the message was something like S Drive error or not recognised, press F1 to continue.

When windows loaded I checked the hardware profile and all was present and correctly working.

Any idea whats (sort of) wrong? The cables/connections are routed correctly as far as I can tell esp as it all works! :)

    Mike.

Just using a photocapture programme - its lists the F drive (missing HD name) as a removeable drive.

i reckon the message was just telling you that there was a disk change. the message shouldn't be there the next time you boot up.
