Connection problems when using WPA-PSK

Whenever I try setting my Linksys WRT54GS router to use WPA-PSK my PC can't connect even though the key is correct. The connection attempts to synch up and seems to do so for a couple of seconds before disabling again. If I turn off security I can connect no problem.
The wireless adaptor is this one and the PC is running Windows XP Professional SP2.
    Any ideas?

Look for firmware updates for both the router and the card. Should be available on the manufacturer's website.

Thanks, I'll give that a try.
