    hi all

just about ready to install the stoves in the new build, what do you recommend for the "fireplace" i've made the mistake in plastering the surround where the stove will be put in place.

imho, this is a complete waste of time and i'll have to hack it off (and get back to hard wall) as it'll crack after the first time the stove is lit.

Would you opt for Clay/fire bricks painted or tiles on the interior surround?
    or any other options

    what's the norm?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi De_man,

I was wondering how you got it sorted. I am just about to have a stove installed in a fireplace which also has been plastered internally and would like to know your thoughts.
