Yikes, where to begin. Being a class rep is good but it can be a bit of work. You're there to represent your class basically. This might involve attending course meetings and raising stuff your classmates have been complaining about. It would involve going to the Students' Union Council meeting (8 or less a year) where other reps from almost every course sometimes attend. There may be some entertainments to sort out, but it isn't as hard as it might sound. For TP, you'd probably join up with the Maths Reps (plus possibly Maths Soc and/or PhySoc, for ease of it all) who would collectively organise a night out.

As for experiences as class rep... hrm! I think I'll skip that and leave that for some other people to answer from their experiences.

Eh, if you do alot of parties at exam times, and another 2 or 3. Maybe table quizes and trips. And promote mystery tours and all it should be good. Be prepared for emails off freaks about crappy lecturers which you cannot do anything about and people saying "if i was one id have got him fired by now", dream on!

Its good experience, the SU council is emmmm... kind of eh..................
