Voice effects for live shows

Hello good people

I've been investigating jazzin up our live experience with voice effects - we're a 3 piece and we like mix up the sound as much as possible and want to be able to extend any effects we have on recordings to the live show and have some nice options to extend the range etc etc and just to make things more interesting really..i've done a bit of research and have been looking at this kind of stuff (see link below)...it doesnt come cheap and I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with this stuff you could share or suggestions of other avenues to explore?

wish that was the case but alas no...some day twud be nice but not for now but I'm sure after enough experimentation in the rehearsal room I could work me way around it.

Connect a guitar to this pedal and the extra voices coming out of it will be in tune with the chords you play, with the other units you have to set a general pattern and change the settings several times during a single song to match the styles.;)

yeah cheers I saw that one...seems like i wud have to choose either effects or harmonies - unless I wanted to buy an uber-unit that did everything and probably costs the earth too. Not too worried about the harmonies I think, more the effects side of things really

anyone on the musician / soundman side of things have first-hand experience of how they might work / reek havoc in a live setting?
