Sky feed freezing

    I'm sure this is a fairly common problem but throughout the day my live sky feed on what seems to be all channels is freezing intermittently. I was wondering if anyone has any idea what is causing this as it is unbelievably irritating...

    Your dish is probably mis-aligned. Check services menu and look at signal test. The lower (quality) bar should be at least 60%.
    Other problems could be the cable , poor connections, or the receiver itself.

    Also check that no birds are blocking the lnb on dish! it happens to me

    i find it freezes more if we're recording - if i unplug for a few seconds (10 maybe) and then plug it back in it stops freezing

    Check the line of sight. We had a big tree across the road blocking ours once summer kicked in and the leaves started to grow. Ended up having to move the dish.

    OK, it's working now guys. I left it unplugged overnight and with the card out. It seems to be OK now. Thanks for the suggestions and help.
