Problem with matchmaking in halo 2 and 3.

My mate got an elite 360 a month or so back. We've had this same recurring problem when trying to use matchmaking in halo 2 and halo 3. You get to the point where it's found players for you and is about to configure the match and then BAM! you're suddenly sent right back to the stage of having to search for a game/search for players. No idea why it's happening but it's really frustrating and we only ever get to play about 1 in 8 games we go through the process of waiting for in matchmaking.

Any advice / idea why this is happening?
    Thanks!

It sounds like the nat routing on your router is very restrictive. What model are you using?

It's a linksys router of some description. Have to get the exact model off my mate. I guess it could be some kind of firewall thing? :\
