Went last year.... it was OK .. not great.
Save your money and go to one of the big ones in the UK.
Good on a Sunday if you have nothing better to do, but its going to be sunny, so I'd find a beer garden insted..

I went on sunday afternoon, It was ok, there was some good exhibitions, particularly the roland stand, one particular helpful individual from roland answered question about the spd-s that was bugging me for ages, good pro-tools demo's etc, but a majority of the main hall was taken up by joe soap guitar retailers. Music maker and Waltons had large areas,

The sound for the live bands was excellent as well, would like to have seen some of the clinics, but didnt have time. What i didnt like about it was that none of the big guitar brands had any demo's (fender, marshall, gibson etc) but i guess there's more to music than guitars, would have been nice to see some top quality instruments.

There was one kid who was there with his parents, picked up a jazz bass into a big Ashdown MAG rig, absolutely fantastic player, ended up with a big crowd around him!

I missed it - I didn't even know it was on tbh :(

But there is always http://www.musiclive.co.uk/ which is on early next month and I'm sure a couple of cheap Ryanair flights would make it an affordable day trip. I've been a few times before and it's not bad - some bargains to be had too.

The show was trade only - so I'm not sure how you saw Joe Soap Retailers?

    Novarock - ok.

I went there myself - got a free ticket from a mate. pLus we were heading to the Police so I had an excuse to be in town :)
Thought the show was great - got to see few acts and the band stage was excellent.
Exhibitors put on a good show - some better than others!

Spotted a mini electric guitar I'll have to get my hands on - looked deadly.
