    Hey.

This is kinda difficult to explain but here we go.

You know when you go to your google search bar and search something, say 'Myspace' and then every time you type in a search to google that begins with say 'Mys..' it automatically appears underneath all the words you have ever typed in that begin with those letters.

how can you delete all those predictions that google predict??

[This is on a Mac laptop by the way]

PLEASE HELP ME AS IT IS AN URGENT PROBLEM!!:o

Edit: Ahaha its not porn, just peoples pages i know [if ya get me]

right click the search box, uncheck "show suggestions".

the suggestions are not based on your history, btw.

Buttons: What browser are you using?

If this is an emergency, try clearing your cache and deleting all cookies. That way, until there is a more permanent solution found for you, you won't have any pr0n sites being suggested to friends and family when they are typing URLs into the address bar ;)

What program do you use to access the internet? Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Opera or any other "browser"?

Ah, I thought it might be. I've only recently downloaded Safari onto a Windows machine and am not too familiar with it. Sorry, can't really help you as I'll be away from now until Tuesday, otherwise I'd go home tonight and look at it for you to try and find an answer.

I'm sure there are a load of Mac people on boards who can answer that question for you. Hopefully, they'll show up soon :)

Go to tools, internet options, hit the advanced tab. Go down through the list to the browsing section, untick "use inline autocomplete"

Safari browser users: Have a read of this,
    http://www.askdavetaylor.com/how_do_i_clear_recent_searches_from_safari_and_google.html

To disable the AutoFill feature on Safari, click on "Preferences" from the Safari menu, then unclick the "AutoFill" button.

Safari could not have made it easier (or faster) to clear your browsing history. To do so, select History from the top menu, and Clear History from the drop-down list

If you're using Safari, the best solution is to switch on "Private Browsing" at the start of your session, and turn it off again when (or restart Safari) when you are finished with the browsing that you do not want to have an easily-accessible record of.

If you forgot to switch on "Private Browsing", you can use "Reset Safari" to clean out all history items, cookies, and autofill data. This is obviously less desirable than using "Private Browsing", as it removes data that you might want to keep.

    Don't you just love Google!

    For IE6/7:

You can get to it by clicking on "Tools" & choosing the "Delete Browsing History" option at the top of the drop down list.
In the Browsing History section click on the "Delete" button.
Then click on the "Delete History" or “Delete Cookies” button.

    - OR -

    Click on "Tools"
    Click on "Internet Options"
In the Browsing History section click on the "Delete" button
Then click on the "Delete History" or “Delete Cookies” button.

Note: IE7 has the "Menu Bar" turned off by default, if yours is off you can turn it on
by clicking on the little black down arrow beside "Tools"

    Then click on "Menu Bar"

    For Google:

Just click on the small black down arrow next to the "G" in the Google search bar.

Then choose the "View History" option.
In there you will see the option to clear the search bar history.
