2.Im currently studying for my Hons degree in Analytical Chemistry with quality management, are there good career opportunites within the gardai with this sort of qualiifcation?what are they?

    Jesus, you again! :)

I think someone said to you in another thread you started that you needed to just pick something, do it, stick with it, and just see how it worked out. If it works out, great. If not, you're a bit wiser.

Sticking up questions like these on random message boards (I've seen you post these questions on other boards too) isn't going to somehow resolve your indecision. There is nothing anyone can post that will do that. I know it's easy for me to say, but you have to stop procrastinating and over-analysing and just take *some* course of action and see where it leads you.

Did you actually read my post or what?

Because if you did you would have seen on question 2 that im currently studying for my Hons degree in Analytical Chemistry.

Just because I am asking about the garda recruitment doesn't mean im procrastinating it shows Im am looking at my future options because I aim to finish what im currently doing(my degree) and see where I can go from there.

Actually, that's a fair point JuanVeron, apologies for not reading your post more clearly. But you've posted so many times asking questions about so many different possible decisions you might make (you're currently asking about living in Australia over in askaboutmoney if I recall!), and over such a long period of time, that I get the impression that you're spending too much time surfing the net trying to find answers to whatever questions you have.

I definitely think you're overanalysing, and there's a whiff of desperation from your posts, this kind of panickey confusion about where you are, what you've achieved up until now, and where your life is going to go. Regardless of whatever advice anyone gives you online, that mental attitude is *not* helpful.

Sorry if this offends you, I know you need answers, but still...

    1. No
    2. Possibly after you complete your probation, you can apply for a forensics role. Sounds interesting but I'd imagine there would be huge competition so don't rely on that.
    3. Well, yes more in Dublin then any other specific region but you could be posted anywhere. Possibly even Leitrim
    4. No idea. Most of the info you need is in that monster thread here

Edit: Juan, I realize you’re fond of asking questions about different careers but was there realy a need to start a new thread when you’re going to be posting in the main garda thread?
