Buy Mead in Dublin?

    When I was at Wacken, Germany this year I was drink Mead most of the time, a hell of a lot nicer then beer on a hot day and a better buzz...

    Anybody know where I can buy good mead in Dublin,?

    Bunratty make a mead you can buy in tourist shops. It is a wine with honey added. It is cloyingly sweet.
    I have never seen a mead on sale in Ireland. You can make it yourself very easily though (much easier then homebrew beer)

    True. You can make a basic mead fairly easily, but it takes a lot more patience than beer, as it takes a long time to mature.

    Never heard of a commercial mead available in Ireland, other than the Bunratty stuff, which is over priced and overly sweet.

    I've only ever had Bunratty so I'm no judge of "good", but they sell it in the wine shop at the back of George's Market.

    There was a stall opposite the big shopping centre at the edge of the town, they sold Mead ( free samples :>, Swords and daggers....
