    Hi,

Just trying to get up to speed with the SATA interface.

    1. This is replacing IDE for all Desktop PC’s

    2. 2 current bus speeds
    a. SATA I = 150MB/s
    b. SATA II = 300MB/s (backward compatible)

    3. 2 Connector types
    a. L internal type
    b. I External type

    4. Both types need power and a data cable
    a. Can use an external interface for an internal drive, just use external cable wrapped back into case and standard internal power cable.

Did I miss anything else important or useful, like when the SATA III is out etc…

Doing up a info document for work so just making sure I get it right first time :)
