Not sure where i heard it, but afaik he's going to do this album, then they are going to get back together and work on another album.. he said it'd be next year before they start working on a new album. Sorry i've no references, but i'm pretty sure i didn't imagine it :)

Some bands go through these phases where some members have solo projects for a while and come back fresh with a new band album.. It can be good for a band sometimes.

Damon Albarn has done it over the past few years and it hasn't affected Blur albums (even though its been a few years since 'think tank')... Radiohead members have had a few solo projects etc...

Albert stated on his myspace that his second album is in the works HAPPY DAYS..
And the strokes are the same album due mid 2008 :)

I think they need to get over there new kids and new wives and get on with it cause I am a huge fan and need more stroke in my life :)

Has anyone listened to Albert's new album? I think it's pretty good but not as good as Yours to Keep. Some great tracks though, GFC and Victory at Monterrey are superb.

I think his voice sounds a little like John Lennon on this album, maybe it's the delay effect he seems to like. No bad thing though.

As a rule i never liked solo albums from bands that i liked. With the exception of Lou Reed from the Velvet Underground

Albert's stuff is really different to The Strokes imo.
I very much so like The Strokes, but I find his solo music a bit.. mehhh. Saw him in Belfast last year: Let down. Great hair though.
