I have a lump sum to invest, but I don't want to tie it up for ny length of time.

I see that the EBS has a Platinum Account for sums over €150,000. The rate is 1 month EURIBOR rate. I also see that they compound this interest every month. It is an on demand account. Monthly statement. No fees.

This month's rate is 4.39% which equates to 4.4974% CAR

I presume that 20% DIRT:mad: is taken from this. is this correct?

At a hypothetical CAR rate of say 4.5% would I be right in saying that the net interest (after DIRT) would be €36 per €1,000?

What do you guys think of this EBS account?
