Am I correct in saying that if I go for Multiroom I have the option of having my 2nd box as a "Sky+" box??

How much extra does this cost me, and do I need to pay the extra monthly sub of €15???

Also: how much for the engineer call out??? I am not on the phone line system, is this extra??

    Cheers fellas

You will need a landline and you will have to keep it connected to both boxes.

I upgraded about a year ago and I think it cost something like €49. I ordered it online directly from sky as it was on offer at the time. What happened was the installers took my old sky box from sitting room and put it in the kids room upstairs and hooked up a new sky+ in the sitting room. The thingy in the dish outside had to be changed to take 2 extra cables.

You do have to pay the €15 extra every month for the multiroom and like I said you will need to keep both boxes connected to the telephone line. I didn't at the beginning but then got a couple of letters from sky saying that unless I kept them connected (they can check if they are connected or not) I would have to pay the full cost of the sky+ box which I think was about €300

It's 149 euro to get sky+ on multiroom atm. I upgraded before Christmas last year. Procedure was pretty much the same as muffler's. Installer ran a second feed to where my standard sky box was, for the sky+ and then ran a feed into the back room for the standard box. Also had to change the LNB to a four output one.

Sub is an extra 15 euro, you need a phoneline to which both boxes must be connected at all times.
