It's a clone of VFC's AKS74UN. Build is quite good although the mag catch needs work as it's too tight for most makes of magazine. Firing very hot out of the box, about 390-400 fps.

It would be nice if Keith offered a spring downgrade service. None of the big clone suppliers seem to. Gunner's did but then stopped, don't know if they are doing it again. Most of the big HK suppliers like UNcompany, Redwolf and WGC will do downgrades but stock little or no clones :(

The trend for clones is that power is increasing. Most of the new clones are coming out firing near the 400 fps mark. They seem to be gearing towards the U.S. market which is a bit silly since Europe is also a big market for Airsoft. Shame.

Its probably because the European countries that permit airsoft are less strict over the maximum joule output.

    OR

The clone makers are finding it easier/cheaper to procure higher powered springs than lower powered ones.

True enough. As far as I know in Austria the power limit for Airsoft is the same as paintball, 7 joules  They play at resonable powers though, usually no more then 350.

Next on the list is more AK's, AKS74 and the AK100 series. Maybe an AIMS too.

There's been far too much discussion of airsoft guns over 1 Joule around here lately, reminder: it is against the forum charter to discuss anything over 1 Joule, and, more importantly, it is also against the law to import/own anything over 1 Joule without a licence.

now if you can get a supplier/retailer to downgrade them pre-shipping then all good, feel free to recommend them on here, but i dont want to see people talking about ordering things with the intention of downgrading it locally when it arrives, this is still import of an illegal firearm, no matter what way you try and swing it.

I'm gonna start handing out bans if this trend continues
