Taxback on course

    My girlfriend did an accounting course last year (weekend course) which set her back 1500 euro.

    Can she claim taxback for this?

    It depends on exactly what the course was and where she did it.

    The Revenue publishes a list of approved colleges every year so I'd give them a bell to check if the course qualifies. Alternatively the list is here:

    As a rough guide fee's for tuition leading up to professional level exams would qualify but short weekend courses would not.

    If the course qualifies its a simple matter of submitting one of these:

    Your best bet though is to start with a call to the revenue to check if the course qualifies. The Dublin region Lo-call number is 1890 333 425
