Recycling wood?

Hiya, I have just removed a wooden bed from my room. I was hoping to recycle the wood. However it will be out in the garden and will probably get wet and damn over the next few days. Can it still be recycled?

Did the very same a couple of weeks ago. I have an open fire. All that was thrown out was the springs and the surface material. I put the padding in the attic above the bathroom!
