Ok, I'm updating my CV here ... student looking for some part-time bar work.
Now the problem is I have no experience - but how should I put this on a CV?

What I have for this section:

Minimal experience in this field, but willing to learn and apply myself to any number of jobs
Approachable, well able to deal with customers
Work well both on own initiative and set tasks

or, how would I word it better?

Take out the part in bold, no need for that type of honesty in a CV.

In my opinion, all those intangible attributes (good team player, enthusiastic etc) which are apparently so vital to your CV are a load of cack.
Anyone can say that about themselves. What employers are looking for is concrete evidence of the above - i.e. work experience and references.
OP, you'd be doing yourself a massive disservice by saying something like "no experience in this area"!
What you should do if you're applying for a position for which you have no direct experience is not highlight this fact, but focus on any experience you do have that might be relevant. I see in another thread that you have worked in Spar - there you go! You've done the dealing with customers, the cash handling, the busy peak times. Mention all of these things and anything else that's relevant to the job (think about what the job entails - now match up what experience/skills you have that demonstrate how valuable you'd be). But for the love of God, don't go on about what you DON'T have!!! :)

    Amen Dudess!

Also might wanna include a good range of interests... volunteer work... sport... etc. Obviously dont make it an essay, but if you've got limited work experience you can demonstrate your skills by other means.
