Poor MBP isight

When using my isight on my MBP to another MBP I noticed that the quality of his camera on my screen was perfect even at full screen but mine on his was terrible. I have always been disappointed with the quality of video on the isight considering its a 1.3mp camera. Can anyone tell me why? I use an aim account on ichat.
