I know I posted about this a while back but I forgot to bookmark the page. I need to get some decent song titles that I can use for all the weddings I am doing. It could be stuff you know from your own library or from weddings you attended yourself or have heard wherever.

Any suggestions - I need artist and song title please??

    Thanks

    Mike

one that immediately comes to mind is Woman by err.. John Lennon...

For that matter, half of the beatles catalog would be suitable.

I've heard some pretty diverse stuff at weddings so I shan't contribute any further :D

/me is going to hell in a handbasket

Im no fan of the Killers...or cover versions for that matter..but they do a great version of that song.

Most Frank Sinatra songs fit (well except maybe the lady is a tramp ;))
I like to go for old crackly sounding vinyl tracks...adds some nice atmosphere.

Any Sigur Ros album should provide you with lush, emotional soundscapes which could work depending on what you're after.

Suggest you drop into HMV, Golden Discs, Tower etc.

There has CD compiliations dedicated to wedding songs!

Looking at the CD sleeve may suggest a few more to you

Get yourself a subscription to http://www.napster.com/choose/index.html

for US$10 a month you get access to their entire library ... for up to 3 portables and 3 pc's ...

You'll need to proxy out from a US or UK pop to get past the territory lock though ...
