Help setting up XBOX 360 Extender

    Hi,

    Beed trying for over a week now, and getting very little help from XBOX support (they keep saying they will call me back and then dont). I am trying to connect my XBOX 360 TO my VISTA laptop to use the 360 as a media centre extender, but just cant get it to work. I get an error message (the xbox 360 has unexpectendly disconnected from the media centre based pc). It does detect it but seems to fail to connect. Anyway, I also tried to connect the xbox direct to my laptop to try and rule out router probs etc, and no luck here either (even though I did manage to get connected to xbox live using ICS when it was connected to my laptop).

    Any help would be greatly appreciated, even perhaps if someone was willing to do a remote log in via windows remote assistance ?

    Hi Wexfordman,

    - ensure your pc has all network file sharing services are turned on.
    - disable windows firewall.
    - configure xbox with manual ip, using same range as your pc.
