    Hi everyone,

Just wondering if any bands here ever went down the road of insuring their pa equipment and if so, did you actually find an insurance company willing to do so? If it's not cool to post names and numbers of companies here please PM me.

    Thanks in advance!

AFAIK there is no insurance company in Ireland that deals with music equipment etc only (though these exist in the UK and Europe).

Some insureres here will allow you to insure specific items outside of the house under a normal househould insurance policy. The cheapest and most comprehensive of these is 123.ie .

They will allow you to name 5 specific items and they're value under a household insurance policy with them and these items will be covered outside the home against accidental damage or theft up to a max of €10k per year. This is on top of the total they insure you for with the household policy as well. So you should be able to insure your PA, AMP , guitars and drums all in one.

    Hope that helps.

    Check out http://www.dolmen-insurance.ie/musical_instruments.htm .
It's pretty cheap too, I got a Les Paul insured for 3500 Euro, and I think it was only 150 - 160 quid a year. Which reminds me I may renew it..
