Off to Hong Kong for the new year and looking to buy a few gadgets

Looking at new phone and Nintendo DS lite, camera

Did some googling and found a shope called Fortress but talking to someone they said that its the equivalent of Dixons etc

So is there anywere else were I can buy them. Staying in Causeway Bay

It seems to be not the cheapest over there but they have more up to date models

Sham Shui Po is where I did my electronics shopping. The golden temple shopping arcade carries the more shady goods. I didn't find it that cheap though.

I might have been looking in the wrong places but there wasn't any great bargains on electronics. Like you I was looking for a Nintendo DS, I got one in Toys R Us for around €140, they're only €150 in Gamestop here. It would be worth the extra tenner to buy it here and have it for the flight over, plus their selection of games was terrible (and not just for DS - PS3 and X Box too). Maybe other posters could advise on where you would get cheaper electronics but I had a good look around.

This guy is brilliant. Has a tiny shop in the Sheraton but is very competitive compared to the other shops.

Radio control cars are cheap enough. I bought my nephew one in Mongkok.
