Do you remember supercans? Stretched cans of coke etc (500ml) that were replaced by the bottles we now have. Supercans gave me a feeling of power, superiority, contentment.

    Those were the days!

Wasn't there already a thread on this in ATR, where someone posted that they're still on sale in certain countries?

I found an empty Fanta one during a recent clear-out at home.

Must clean it up and post a pic....

Yeah there was and, for the record, I got one in Budapest about two years ago. It's much better than the plastic bottle (taste wise).

Had a friend who's party trick was drinking a Pepsi supercan in one. Oh how we laughed.

A lot of shops sold little plastic attachments that would fit onto the hole left by the ring pull, and seal them.

Growing up I used to visit friends that lived in a village about a mile away from where
I lived. We used to joke about the village as it was basically 2 pubs a church a post office
a chipper and a shop! it got a bit of a slagging about coming out of the dark ages...

I remember one of the Lads proudly voicing his opinion's about how modern the
    place was becoming. He said
    "we even have super cans"
