I'm gonna try and keep this as short as i can as it's quite a lengthy story.

I bought a MacBook case on EBay.. the seller apparently sent it out soon after i paid via Paypal. It never arrived about a month and a half later. So i e-mailed him and he claimed he'd sent out a replacement. I offered to add on an extra euro or 2 for insurance if it helps. He said it wasn't necessary. So after a month after he claimed to send that, this one never arrived.

He said he'd issue me a refund.. and i said it was much appreciated. Then, he kept fobbing me off with excuses of problems with his Paypal account and said he'd issue the refund when he got them sorted. And as quite an inexperienced user of EBay / PayPal, i said that's fine and awaited refund. I contacted him numerous times a few weeks after (which he ignored) and realised soon after that the original auction was well past the 90 days limit to put in a ticket request to Paypal. I'm not too up on the Paypal terms but you know what i mean.

The MacBook case was about 20 euro i'd say so should i just bite the bullet and accept it, or is there anything i can do? Is there much point in contacting PayPal?

Paypal have a 45 day limit on complaints so it was probably too late by the time you first contacted the seller. If you paid by credit card through Paypal then you can do a chargeback. If you paid from your Paypal balance then I don't think they'll do anything for you.

Be glad it was only €20, you might have to take the hit this time.

Contact Paypal before the chargeback, they might do something for you. If they don't, contact the card provider.

    Cheers for that jor_el.

No, it was from my Paypal account so can't ring a card provider.

Bit pissed off really but i suppose it was only €20 alright...
