Having only got back into photography, this is actually an old photo (4 years ago) taken with a P&S (now binned by my D80).

It still remains one of my favourite pictures.

It is a picture of a tuscan scene and as it has been cropped it is not fully in focus (!) but this is what I like about it as it makes the photo look like a painting by monet or similar

This is the link (and I havent figured out if the photo will automatically appear or not...)

Go to.. "all sizes" in the image in flickr... copy the absolute url of the image and place it between "" and "" tags on here.

No prob rory, you are most welcome!

Lovely scene, certainly does look almost like a watercolour (had to edit that after reading your initial post!!). Gradient of tones adds a nice sense of perspective too. Damn power lines eh! Nice work though, looks like it was a lovely spot to visit too.

Fabulous hilltop location ! The tower in the picture is the belltower of a church which is over 1000 years old !

The power lines are a modern addition ......

Lovely photo. Yes it does look like a painting. Where in Tuscany was it taken? I love Tuscany.

Did you intend that it would look so processed?
I think the scene is nice but I don't find the image itself striking.

Hilltop village of Artimino which is 30 minutes outside Florence

Cropping doesnt count as processing ! (and it was taken in pre DSLR days with a P&S)
