Komplett.ie - love them or hate them?

I want to buy the Philips 37" LCD-TV 37PFL9632D/10 TV. Did not find it in the shops, but found it on Komplett.ie. It is out of stock. But a date when it will be in stock is only a week away. So I decide to wait, and buy it on the day they get them. I get there on the day, but the date is two weeks out now? Hmm,... from now on I am looking at it every day. And two weeks are going, going, and 4,3,2,1 days before I am checking every day. Then the day when they are getting them comes again. Here I am ready to buy it, but only to find out that the date is pushed out again. This time it reads: 11 pcs expected on stock 2007-10-16. So 2 weeks out again? Now what kind of a scam is that? You can miss a delivery date, a truck can get stuck, and whatever can happen. But I felt stupid and betrayed by komplett.ie. Still do. Just wanted to share that.

Komplett.ie = no business from my end any more.

You havn't paid for anything from what i can see so i can't see how you feel betrayed. Send them an email, its probably a problem with the suppliers.

I have dealt with Komplett many times and their service has been top notch.

This might be a blessing in disguise. Have a read of this. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=326808&highlight=phillips

They made me wait for a month. That is not fair since they printed teh incorrect date.

Funny I just rang Phillips Store (tvs.ie), Dame St, tel 01 474 0788. They have that model in stock. The only difference is that the price is €2000 while Kimplett.ie has them listed for €1.6k. But then does not have them!?

I bought a lot of PC related stuff from Komplett.ie. And is was OK. Does anyone have experience with buying a TV from them? And waiting for it?

that sounds like the old joke about the guy complaining about the price of car doors at a gargage, telling the guy that they were 100 quid down the street when he was charging 200, he says, 'why didn't you buy one down the street then ?', 'they didn't have them', he said, 'well when we don't have them they're 100 quid as well' !
