    Hey folks,

I am buying a wii over the next couple of days. Ill check out argos, smyths, game, hmv, virgin for the best prices. but i hear there are a lot of package deals with a free game.
So far what i found is 269.99 with wii sports.

I was thinking of getting wii play(in order to get the other remote) in argos.
that would be 310 for the altogether.

But im wondering is wii play any use? If not what game would you reccomend?

Wii Play includes the Wiimote, so it's a logical purchase.
For other games, everyone's different. Why don't you check out a review site, like Eurogamer, or read some of the previous threads on the subject.

it's alright, but it's worth it for the remote.. table tennis and air hockey are fun, the shooting game is playable.

zelda is worth getting too, hated all the other zelda games but this one's cool.

i liked ssx3.. but it didn't get much play, i was terrible at it for a couple of days then it all just clicked and it wasn't fun any more.

i hear good things about resident evil, but I haven't played it... for shooters, I've played call of duty 3 and I liked it. Great fun, but the controls took *ages* to get to grips with

metacritic.org compiles alot of reviews to give an overall impression, it's a good site.

I just got resident evil 4, its good. I'd also recommend mario strikers and zelda

Rayman Raving Rabbids, is a lot of fun. You do silly stuff like toss cows, dance in time to appearing rabbits and shooting rabbits etc. Good amount of variation in the game play and the amount of skill required. Excellent with a few friends and younger family members too.

Zelda is a must have. Super paper mario is fun for younger people. Metroid on the horizon
