    hi all

i am changing the pups on my epi 57 RI goldtop LP
and was interested in the options I have

i am getting a couple of GFS's to try them out
i was going to get a p90 style neck and a fairly high gain bridge

I am ordering pups so I was going to maybe get some push pull pots
    and do some funky wiring

i dont want to take on anything too messy, Im no expert

any good ideas or links etc

    Rgds

have a look in the wiring a shielding section, has tons of ideas for you to look at at.

i'd recommend the series or parallel thing. i have it on my guitar and i find it quite useful. series gives a hotter sound, whereas parallel is a bit more mellow.
you could also do funky things like putting it out of phase, splitting a humbucker to make it behave more like a single coil and so on... but i think being able to switch between series and parallel is probably the most useful? it's all on guitar nuts anyway.
