I am curious about the following: I have some content outputting at 1080p (at least I will do soon). However, my TV will only do 1080i. Can anyone harzard a guess at how this image will be presented? Will the TV downscale to 1080i or will it simply not show the output?

some tvs will downscale it to 1080i and display it grand.

if the tv doesnt support that, it wont show any picture and you'll have to downscale it at the source.
